Wine Spectator 87:
Shows bright, ripe fruit on the nose, with raspberry, cherry and light vanilla aromas. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins that have a slightly metallic edge and a slightly steely undertone. But this is fresh and clean. Needs time to mellow. Best after 2012. 10,830 cases made.

Wine Advocate 88:
A fine effort from this well-known St.-Estephe estate, this dark ruby/purple-tinged 2006 possesses earthy, herbal undertones intermixed with sweet black currant and cherry fruit.  The projected aromatics are followed by a pure, medium-bodied, stylish wine (a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc) that should be drunk over the next 10 years.
