Description   2006 marks our first-ever vintage of Carneros Pinot Noir Rosé, a crisp, dry wine imbued with a delicate pink hue and brilliant rose petal, raspberry and citrus characteristics. Equally delicious as an aperitif, as the centerpiece of a picnic blanket or with a sumptuous feast, dry rosé is an eminently versatile wine with a well-known affinity for a broad variety of cuisine. Tasting Notes A brilliant, pink color with streaks of salmon throughout. Aromas of fresh raspberry, citrus and antique rose mark the bouquet while the palate displays a blood orange character (cherry/citrus) and wild strawberry flavors in the crisp, lengthy finish. Winemaking • 100% Estate vineyard, Carneros appellation • The Pinot Noir grapes for this rosé were 100% hand-harvested • Produced with the saignée method of fermentation, which allows the juice to rest in contact with the skins for only a short time (24 hours) to develop the wine’s signature pink color, delicate aromatics and bright fruit flavors • Cold fermented to dryness View Acclaim for All Wines Food Affinities The 2006 Pinot Noir Rosé is delicious as an aperitif or with a wide range of summer dishes from cold leek soup, steamed artichokes, pizzetta and fried calamari to more serious fare such as shellfish stews, steamed crab, grilled salmon, chicken and sausage.
